Anegundi is a village in Gangavathi taluk of Koppal district, located on the banks of river Tungabhadra. It is an ancient village over 5,000 years old, referred as Kishkinda – The Kingdom of the Monkey King Sugriva , also mentioned in the epic of Ramayana. The Heritage site of Hampi is hardly at a distance of 5 kms from Anegundi.
